“Once again, the President’s bellicose rhetoric betrays a complete lack of understanding about the seriousness of potential military conflict with North Korea and the risk that such conflict or miscalculation could escalate into nuclear war. The President’s hyperbole and posturing damages American credibility and makes every American less safe.
"President Trump should heed the words of UN Secretary General Antonio Guiterres, who in the moments immediately preceding President Trump’s address today urged statesmanship, noting that the international community “must not sleepwalk our way into war.".
