Washington, D.C. - House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul released a statement on the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Colombia.

“Over the last 200 years, the United States and Colombia have developed a mutually beneficial alliance that serves as a linchpin of stability and prosperity in the Western Hemisphere. Colombia’s transformation over the last few decades serves as a testament to our shared commitment to democracy and security. Today I am proud to cosponsor a bipartisan resolution that highlights the many successes over the last two centuries, and charts a path forward as we embark on the next era of the relationship.".
