WASHINGTON - Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., Friday issued the following statement in connection with the announcement regarding collective bargaining rights for Transportation Security Administration employees:

“My record on this issue has been crystal clear since the early days of the Transportation Security Administration. I support collective bargaining for Transportation Security officers because I believe that is the path toward achieving higher job performance and, therefore, better security for our nation. I look forward to reviewing the Administration’s proposal and engaging in this conversation."
