LIEBERMAN COMMENTS ON SUPREME COURT IMMIGRATION LAW RULING

WASHINGTON - Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman, ID-Conn., issued the following statement Monday after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Arizona immigration law.

“The Supreme Court’s ruling correctly reminds us that immigration policy is first and foremost a federal issue that we must address as a national community. I again urge my colleagues to take up comprehensive immigration reform to give this country the fair and effective immigration system we want and need."
