Agents Seize Narcotics Worth $156,900

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two men for transporting narcotics in Fallbrook late Tuesday morning.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., agents assigned to the Newton-Azrak Station in Murrieta conducted a vehicle stop on a white 2014 Kia Optima at the Mission Road offramp on I-15 northbound. When agents searched the vehicle, they discovered two duffle bags in the trunk containing multiple packages of narcotics.

A total of 10 packages, with a combined weight of 52 pounds, tested positive for methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $156,900.

The two men, both United States citizens, ages 19 and 20, and the narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency. The vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.  

In FY2022, year to date, San Diego Sector has seized over 1,600 lbs. of methamphetamine.
