Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Argentine Foreign Minister Felipe Sola. The Secretary emphasized that our mutually beneficial relationship is rooted in shared democratic values. He underscored the importance of working together to combat the climate crisis and expressed support for Argentina’s initiative to host a regional summit to rally Latin America behind an ambitious climate agenda. He also underscored the imperative for regional diplomatic engagement to address the threats to democracy, human rights, and security in our hemisphere.
