Monroe County Man Sentenced To Prison For Federal Cocaine Trafficking Charge

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that a Monroe County man was sentenced by Senior United States District Court Judge A. Richard Caputo to serve 15 months in prison for cocaine trafficking.

According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Lester Tucker, age 50, formerly of East Stroudsburg, was previously indicted by a federal grand jury in May 2011 after an incident in which Tucker distributed cocaine to another individual in Monroe County.

Tucker previously entered a guilty plea to the charge of distribution of cocaine on Aug. 24, 2012.

In addition to the prison term, Senior Judge Caputo also ordered that the defendant be supervised by a probation officer for three years following his prison sentence.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Stroud Area Regional Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert J. O’Hara.
