WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 38 year-old New Martinsville, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on Jan. 28, 2013, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: PAUL JASON BILLITER a/k/a “P.J." was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. BILLITER was convicted on Oct. 24, 2012, following a two- day jury trial, of Possession of Ammunition on Nov. 23, 2011, in New Martinsville after having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year. BILLITER was convicted of the offenses of Burglary and Grand Larceny in the Circuit Court of Tyler County, West Virginia.
Trial evidence indicated that BILLITER illegally possessed 102 rounds of ammunition at his residence in New Martinsville.
BILLITER, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution on Feb. 28, 2013.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and investigated by the New Martinsville Police Department.
