Davenport Man Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison For Methamphetamine And Gun Offenses

DAVENPORT, IA - On Feb. 1, 2013, Steven Michael Gruetzmacher, age 46, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced to 180 months imprisonment for conspiring to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine and for possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. United States District Judge Stephanie M. Rose also sentenced Gruetzmacher to 5 years supervised release.

Gruetzmacher agreed with others to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine from July 2011 through early March 2012. Gruetzmacher manufactured and distributed methamphetamine on multiple occasions over the course of the conspiracy.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Davenport, Iowa, Police Department, and was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
