Philadelphia Woman Facing Gun Charge

Tanika Victoria Little, 34, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged today by indictment with one count of illegally possessing a firearm with obliterated serial numbers, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on Oct. 1, 2012, Little knowingly possessed a Glock model 19, 9mm pistol, serial #TN460US, with a forcibly removed serial number plate from the frame and scratched serial number on the slide of the firearm.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of five years in prison, three years supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.

The case was investigated by United States Secret Service, the Office of the Attorney General Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Gun Violence Task Force, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anita Eve.
