United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Pine Ridge, South Dakota woman convicted of false statement was sentenced on June 11, 2013 by Chief Judge Jeffrey L. Viken, U.S. District Court.
Natalie White Plume, a/k/a Natalie Lame, age 36, was sentenced to 2 years of probation and ordered to pay $15,611 in restitution, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
White Plume was indicted for false statement by a federal grand jury on Nov. 19, 2012. The charge relates to White Plume not disclosing all of her income on her Economic Assistance Application for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and in her application for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). White Plume pled guilty to the charge on March 8, 2013.
