WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A former teacher and basketball coach
from Marshall County was sentenced today on heroin distribution charges.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that AMANDA
ALLISON, age 27, of Cameron, West Virginia, was sentenced to 30 months of imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release as a result of her conviction for “Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin." ALLISON had previously admitted to conspiring to sell heroin between January and April of 2013.
ALLISON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard and investigated by the Marshall County Drug Task Force, which consists of officers and agents from the Moundsville Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
