Westbrook Man Convicted of Possessing Child Pornography

Portland, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Joel

Dudley, 29, of Westbrook, was convicted on February 25 after a two-day jury trial in U.S.

District Court in Portland of possession of child pornography.

According to evidence introduced at trial, in August of 2012, law enforcement agents

executed a search warrant at Dudley’s apartment in Westbrook. Two DVDs found in the

apartment were later found to contain numerous child pornography videos.

Dudley will be sentenced after completion of a pre-sentence investigation report by the

U.S. Probation Office. He faces a maximum sentence of up to 10 years and a fine of up to

$250,000.

The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s

Homeland Security Investigations and the Westbrook Police Department.
