United States Attorney James L. Santelle announced today that Leslie A. Miller, (age: 50), of Keshena, Wisconsin located on the Menominee Indian Reservation, was sentenced on April 15, 2014, to 42 months of imprisonment, followed by a term of 10 years on supervised release. The sentence was the result of a guilty plea by Miller on Jan. 17, 2014, to a federal indictment charging him with abusive sexual contact with a person under the age of 12 years.
The investigation revealed that around Jan. 1, 2013, Leslie A. Miller, an enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, his wife, and a 10-year-old female were watching a movie while lying in bed. After his wife went to sleep, Miller sexually assaulted the child. During a subsequent interview, Miller admitted that he assaulted the child.
This case was investigated by the Menominee Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Whittemore..
