Lebanon Man Pleads Guilty to Firearm Charge

Portland, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that

Lawrence Young, 54, of Lebanon, Maine, pled guilty today in U.S. District Court before Judge

D. Brock Hornby to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court records, Young was discovered hunting with a 16-gauge shotgun in

the area of Acton, Maine on May 1, 2014. Young was prohibited from possessing firearms on

account of two prior felony convictions.

Young faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after

completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

The investigation was conducted by the Maine State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol,

Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
