SHREVEPORT, La. - United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley announced today that a Bossier City man was sentenced to 120 months in prison for possessing with intent to sell methamphetamine at his home.
John W. Davis II, 54, of Bossier City, La., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter on one count of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine or 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. He was also sentenced to eight years of supervised release. According to evidence presented at the Jan. 13, 2015, guilty plea, Davis’ home was searched on Oct. 2, 2014 based on information that he was distributing methamphetamine. Agents found seven bags containing methamphetamine in a shaving kit on his porch and under his bed. After an analysis of the methamphetamine, a total of 480.7 grams of pure methamphetamine were determined to have been found at Davis’ home.
The DEA, Louisiana State Police, and Bossier City Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael O’Mara prosecuted the case.
