New York Resident Charged With Illegal Reentry After Deportation

Ronald Pacheco Vasquez, a/k/a “Ricardo Hernandez," a/k/a “Samuel Batista," 29, of Queens, NY, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about April 7, 2015, Pacheco Vasquez, an alien, and native and citizen of Colombia, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about Sept. 30, 2013.

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO"), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James A. Petkun.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
