Ponca City Man Sentenced to 151 Months in Federal Prison for Forcible Sexual Assault

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - Today, Ivan Bennett Willis (22) was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison by Senior United States District Court Judge Robin J. Cauthron announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma. Upon his release from incarceration, Willis was ordered to serve five years of supervised release and register as a sex offender, said Coats.

In January, Willis was convicted by a jury of forcing his victim to engage in a sexual act on Sept. 22, 2013, at a home located on Ponca Tribal land. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Indian Affairs; the prosecutor was Assistant U.S. Attorney Rozia McKinney-Foster.
