BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Aaron T. Holmes, 44, of Buffalo, NY, who was convicted of possession and distribution crack cocaine, was sentenced to 84 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S Attorney Thomas S. Duszkiewicz, who handled the case, stated that Holmes sold crack cocaine to an individual working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation on eight separate dates in 2013. During those purchases, the FBI observed the defendant engaging in drug transactions with 16 other individuals during surveillance of the undercover purchases. During this same time period, Holmes was arrested three times by Buffalo Police. Each arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at the defendant’s residence. On Dec. 3, 2013, the FBI executed a search warrant and recovered quantities of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, $2,184 in United States currency and a sophisticated surveillance system.
The plea is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force and the Buffalo Police Department, under the direction of Commissioner Daniel Derenda.
