ALBANY, NEW YORK - Robert “Poobar" Daniels, age 43, of Schenectady, New York, was sentenced on June 15 to serve 30 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distributing crack cocaine.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Andrew W. Vale, Special Agent in Charge of the Albany Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Daniels, as part of his guilty plea, admitted that he sold crack cocaine directly, and oversaw the distribution of crack cocaine by another individual.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the New York State Police, and the Schenectady Police Department, in connection with the FBI-led Capital District Safe Streets Gang Task Force. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Wayne A. Myers.
