BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced today that Morrell Buster, 43, and William Jefferson, 46, both of Buffalo, NY, who were convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of crack cocaine, were sentenced to 51 months and 37 months in prison respectively by Senior U.S. District William M. Skretny.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch, who is handling the case, stated that between June 2013 and Feb. 25, 2014, the defendants purchased and then distributed crack cocaine. On Jan. 17, 2014, Buster was found in possession of three grams of crack cocaine while at the Niagara Outlet Mall in Niagara County, NY.
The sentencings are the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen and the Lackawanna Police Department, under the direction of Chief James Michel.
