DAVENPORT, Iowa - On Sept. 21, 2017, Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey sentenced Michael Scott Parker, 32, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, to 80 months in prison after pleading guilty to felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. Parker was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Crime Victims’ Fund.
On Aug. 28, 2016, Davenport police responded to a disturbance call and encountered Parker, who attempted to flee while in possession of a loaded Taurus.38 caliber revolver.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Davenport Police Department conducted the investigation. This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
