Flagler County Couple Indicted On Counterfeit Currency Charges

Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Maria Chapa Lopez announces the return of an indictment charging Christopher Brent Heath (36) and Christine Marie Beaulieub (37), both of Bunnell, with manufacturing, passing, and possessing counterfeit Federal Reserve notes. Each faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count. Heath and Beaulieu made their initial appearance in federal court on Aug. 27, 2018, and have been detained. Their trial is set for Oct. 1, 2018.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

This case was investigated by the United States Secret Service - Jacksonville Field Office, the Ormond Beach Police Department, and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kevin C. Frein.
