St. John Parish Man Pleads Guilty To Methamphetamine Conspiracy

NEW ORLEANS - U.S. Attorney Peter G. Strasser announced that DAVID PITTMAN, age 49, of St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana, pleaded guilty on Nov. 21, 2019 to conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(A), and 846.

PITTMAN now faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 years, a maximum life sentence, a possible fine of $10,000,000, and at least 5 years of supervised release. The Honorable Wendy B. Vitter, United States District Judge, will sentence PITTMAN on Feb. 18, 2020.

U.S. Attorney Strasser praised the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration and St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Long is in charge of the prosecution.
