OKLAHOMA CITY - ISHMAEL FARRAKAN MUHAMMAD, a.k.a. Mike Rodgers, a.k.a. Dewayne Robinson, 32, of Stillwater, has been sentenced to serve 110 months in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm after having been previously convicted of a felony crime, announced U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Downing.
On May 4, 2018, Muhammad was arrested while in possession of a.22 caliber handgun and a sawed-off shotgun, each with the serial number obstructed, in addition to ammunition. On Sept. 3, 2019, a federal grand jury returned a three-count Indictment that alleged illegal possession of firearms, illegal possession of an unregistered firearm, and illegal possession of ammunition. On Nov. 1, 2019, Muhammad pled guilty to Count 1 of the Indictment that charged him with possession the.22 caliber handgun while being a convicted felon.
On Nov. 30, 2020, U.S. District Judge Patrick R. Wyrick sentenced Muhammad to serve 110 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
This case is the result of investigations by the FBI, ATF and the Stillwater Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary E. Walters prosecuted the case.
