Acting United States Attorney Bob Murray announced today that DIEGO AGUILAR-VALDOVINOS, age 38 of Federal Way, Washington, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl. Aguilar-Valdovinos appeared before U.S. District Court Chief Magistrate Judge Kelly H. Rankin on Oct. 25, 2021, for an arraignment hearing and pled not guilty to the charge.
The trial has been set for Jan. 3, 2022, in Cheyenne before U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson. Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl carries a maximum penalty of 10 years to life imprisonment and five years to life supervised release.
This case was investigated by the Wyoming State Highway Patrol, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. These are merely allegations, and Aguilar-Valdovinos is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
