Gordon: Ohio woman's 'actions were beyond reprehensible' in child pornography case

An Ohio woman was sentenced by a federal judge to 15 years in prison on child pornography charges.

Ashley Kolhoff, 22, of Port Clinton, Ohio, was sentenced July 12 by U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema for production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to a July 15 Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release. Allegations against Kolhoff were a result of an investigation by the Homeland Security Investigations.

"Ashley Kolhoff's actions were beyond reprehensible, and the cruelty of her crimes is reflected in the severity of her sentence," Acting Special Agent in Charge Derek W. Gordon of HSI's Washington, D.C. field office, said in the news release. "HSI Washington, D.C. will continue to work tirelessly to hold accountable anyone who attempts to bring harm to the citizens we have sworn to protect."

Kolhoff reportedly produced sexually explicit images of the minor victim and posted those images "to a website dedicated to facilitating child exploitation," the release said. She also was found to have distributed images to nine other users on the website, all the while having "graphic conversations" with the users about how much the users wanted "to sexually abuse the victim," the release said.
