Background:
MacGregor is currently serving as DOI’s Deputy Chief of Staff exercising the authority of the Deputy Secretary, focusing on domestic energy and mineral development, halting violence against indigenous peoples, and enhancing rural broadband. From 2014 to January 2017, Kate served under Chairman Rob Bishop as Senior Professional Staff on the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Minerals. She primarily focused on U.S. energy policy with specific attention to domestic oil and gas development, offshore renewables, and regulatory reform.
