WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Ranking Republican Rob Bishop (R-Utah) released the following statement on the Record of Decision signed by Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt approving the Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program in the 1002 Area of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
“After decades of work from the Alaska delegation and leadership from President Trump, Congress mandated these lease sales to deliver energy to the nation and revenue to the Treasury. I thank Secretary Bernhardt and many others at the Department of the Interior for their tireless efforts to move this vision another step closer to reality."
