Neal Statement on House Passage of H.R. 4346, CHIPS and Science Act

WASHINGTON, DC-Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 4346, CHIPS and Science Act:

“President Biden and Congressional Democrats are bolstering our economy for the future, and this advancement is a major achievement for the American people. By supercharging our domestic manufacturing of semiconductors, people will see lower costs on every day goods and new good-paying jobs will follow. I commend Secretary Raimondo for staying the course and never giving up on strengthening our supply chains. The CHIPS and Science Act will propel our nation on a more prosperous, secure course for generations to come, and I look forward to President Biden signing this historic legislation into law."
