Guadalupe Mountains National Park will reopen the Dog Canyon developed area, including the Indian Meadow Nature Trail, and the Dog Canyon Campground will reopen for overnight use on Monday, August 1, 2022.
Reservations for the Dog Canyon Campground can be made online through www.recreation.gov, and as a reminder, day hikers and all permitted overnight backpackers are required to pack out human waste using a landfill-safe commercial toilet bag system.
