The Bureau of Reclamation has awarded a $4.96 million contract for the engineering, design, and installation of upgrades to the electronic security systems at Hoover, Davis, and Parker Dams on the Colorado River to Sim-G Technologies, LLC of Washington, D.C.

"Reclamation has a responsibility to the American people to protect our infrastructure," said Commissioner Robert W. Johnson. "These upgrades will assist in protecting three structures that are critical to delivering water and generating electricity for the southwest."

The contractor will install an integrated security system with the latest technology. This new system will provide seamless security management at all three facilities.

Work being performed under this contract will not be reimbursable by the project beneficiaries and is scheduled to be complete by September 2007.
