Reclamation to Host Managing for Excellence Public Meeting in Portland

The Bureau of Reclamation today announced that it will hold a meeting to inform the public about the Managing for Excellence Project on September 25 to 26 in Portland, Ore. This meeting is the sixth public meeting to inform the public about the action items, progress, and results of the project and to seek broad feedback.

The meeting will be held: September 25: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and September 26: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Holiday Inn Portland Airport Hotel, 8439 Columbia Blvd., Portland, Ore., 97220.

The Managing for Excellence Project will identify and address the specific 21st Century challenges Reclamation must meet to fulfill its mission to manage, develop, and protect water and related resources in an environmentally and economically sound manner in the interest of the American public.

Although you may register the day of the conference beginning at 7:00 a.m., we highly encourage you to pre-register for the conference online at www.usbr.gov/excellence or by phone at 303-445-2935. Please direct requests for sign language interpretation for the hearing impaired, or other auxiliary aids, at 303-445-2935 by September 14.
