The Bureau of Reclamation will hold a public information meeting with lease holders and interested parties on cabin permitting and proposed changes to use fees for the permits which are expected to be issued in June.
The meeting will be held at the Conconully Town Hall in Conconully, Wash., on April 17, at 6:30 p.m.
The cabin leases which expire in June 2008 are being replaced with 5-year permits. There are over 80 permit holders along Conconully Lake, also known as Salmon Lake, and Conconully Reservoir.
Reclamation is required by federal statute to review use of public land and bring the use into compliance with current regulations and policies. During this review process, permit terms and use fees are evaluated.
The meeting is being held at the request of the office of Representative Cathy McMorris-Rodgers (R-WA).
The meeting facilities are physically accessible to people with disabilities. Please direct requests for sign language interpretation for the hearing impaired, or other auxiliary aids, to Bill Gray at (509) 754-0214 as soon as possible prior to the meeting.
Conconully Lake, also known as Salmon Lake, and Conconully Reservoir are impounded by Salmon Lake and Conconully dams, respectively, and are located in Okanogan County, Wash.
