Reclamation Seeks Comments on Four Central Valley Project Improvement Act Water Management Plans

The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on Oct. 26, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

- The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability of four water management plans in accordance with the Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA)

of 1992: Colusa County Water District, James Irrigation District, Lindmore Irrigation District and Sycamore Mutual Water Company.

To meet requirements of the CVPIA, Section 210 of the Reclamation Reform Act of 1982 requires contractors to prepare and submit water management plans with

definite goals, appropriate water conservation measures and reasonable timetables. The plans are designed to achieve a balance among competing Central

Valley Project water demands, including fish, wildlife, agricultural, municipal, industrial and power requirements.

For a copy of the proposed plans, email Angela Anderson at aanderson@usbr.gov.

Written comments are due by close of business Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, and should be sent to Charlene Stemen, Bureau of Reclamation, 2800 Cottage Way,

MP-410, Sacramento, CA 95825 or cstemen@usbr.gov. For additional information or to be placed on the water

conservation mailing list, please contact Stemen at 916-978-5218.
