LEWISTON, Idaho - The Bureau of Reclamation released today a Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Lewiston Orchards Project Water Exchange and Title Transfer.
Reclamation requested public review and comment on the Draft EA from Aug. 12 to Sept. 12, 2016. In response to comments, Reclamation provided clarifications and expanded discussion in various sections in the Final EA.
Based upon the analysis of environmental impacts, Reclamation has selected the Preferred Alternative (Alternative B-Well Field Construction, Full Groundwater Exchange, and Title Transfer) for implementation.

The Lewiston Orchards Project is located near Lewiston, Idaho. Project facilities include Reservoir A (Mann Lake), Soldiers Meadow Reservoir, Lake Waha, four diversion structures, several feeder canals, and a system for distributing irrigation water.
