BILLINGS, Mont. -- Access across Canyon Ferry Dam will be closed to all traffic October 3 through October 5, 2017, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The temporary road closure is due to required maintenance work being conducted on the dam.
Montana State Highway 284, at both sides of the dam, will be closed to allow Reclamation to safely conduct crane operations necessary to complete repairs to the dam infrastructure. Travelers must seek alternate routes, north and south of the dam during the closure period.
