The following statement is from Senior Advisor to the Secretary, Tanya Trujillo, and Senior Advisor to the Secretary, Camille Calimlim Touton, on behalf of the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Reclamation on the passing of former Imperial Irrigation District General Manager Kevin Kelley:
“The Department of the Interior’s Office for the Assistant Secretary for Water and Science and the Bureau of Reclamation's Office of the Commissioner wish to formally extend our condolences to the family of Kevin Kelley, his colleagues at the Imperial Irrigation District, and his many friends across the West. Kevin was a unique man of many talents and will be long remembered as an insightful voice within the Colorado River family. As a son of the Imperial Valley, Kevin always worked in the interests of the people who called the valley home. May the heavy hearts find comfort in a life well lived."
