Leader Rodgers Statement on Commissioner Phillips’ Departure from the FTC

House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement on the announcement of Commissioner Noah Phillip’s expected departure in the fall from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

“Since day one of his tenure, Commissioner Phillips has been committed to upholding the integrity of the FTC, protecting Americans, and ensuring small businesses can thrive and innovate. Whether it was his advocacy for fighting fraud, defending free market principles, or working with Congress to establish one national privacy standard to protect people’s data online, his voice and perspective has been unparalleled and will be sorely missed. I wish him all the best and know that, whatever the future holds, Commissioner Phillips will continue his mission to serve and help improve people’s lives across this country.”
