FBI Announces an Arrest in Connection with Bank Robbery in Plantation

The FBI announces the arrest of Robert Watson, 50, of Cooper City, Florida, for his alleged involvement in a SunTrust Bank branch robbery in Plantation on July 30.

The arrest was made this morning (8/5/2016), without incident, by the Coral Springs Police Department, Plantation Police Department, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force, and the FBI.

Watson is in federal custody and is facing federal charges. His initial appearance is expected to be in Fort Lauderdale federal court.

The criminal complaint may be found in PACER. No picture(s)/mug shots are available.

The investigation continues.
