Robbery of Bank of the West Branch in Albuquerque

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a bank robber who wore a Halloween mask and fled in a maroon Pontiac Bonneville on Wednesday, October 19.

The suspect was described as male, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a medium build.

He wore a white Halloween mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., the suspect entered Bank of the West branch at 780 Juan Tabo Blvd NE and demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank in a maroon Pontiac Bonneville.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at (505) 889-1300 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
