The FBI and Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety are investigating an apparent homicide that occurred in Sheep Springs, New Mexico on Friday (November 25) night.
A suspect is in tribal custody. Federal charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
The victim is an adult Navajo woman whose name is not being released.
The woman was stabbed several times, but the exact cause of death is pending an autopsy.
