New Orleans Man Found to Be in Possession of in Excess of 500 Child Pornography Images and Videos

New Orleans Man Found to Be in Possession of in Excess of 500 Child Pornography Images and Videos

NEW ORLEANS-On Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at approximately 7:30 a.m., John David Montz, was arrested by the FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking Task Force (VCAC/HT TF) for possession of child pornography.

After a lengthy investigation, the VCAC/HT TF arrested John David Montz, white male, age 47, in Orleans Parish. Montz was charged under LRS 14:81.1, Possession of Child Pornography. During a search of his residence, Montz was found to be in possession of over 500 child pornography images and videos.

Montz was subsequently transported to the Orleans Parish Prison and booked with 500 counts of possession of child pornography.

The New Orleans VCAC/HT TF is a full-time task force currently comprised of FBI agents and task force officers from the Louisiana State Police, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Kenner Police Department.
