An armed man robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank Tuesday, March 7, 2017, and fled in a white Dodge Durango SUV after switching getaway vehicles.

The suspect is described as bald, stocky Hispanic male in his 30s and approximately 6' tall.

He wore a black bandana over his face, a black baseball cap, a blue T-shirt with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath, and black jeans.

The suspect entered BBVA Compass Bank, 1201 San Pedro Drive, NE, at approximately 11:24 a.m.

Witnesses said he displayed a silver or gray handgun and demanded money from a teller.

He then got into a white Dodge Durango SUV, model years 2004-2009, driven by a Hispanic woman. The SUV had a possible temporary tag in the back window.
