Man with White Gauze Around His Face Tries to Rob Albuquerque Bank

A man with white gauze around his face and wearing a dark trench coat and boonie hat attempted to rob a northeast Albuquerque bank Wednesday night, Aug. 23, 2017.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s to early 30s, approximately 5'10" tall, with a slender, lanky build.

He wore sunglasses, white gauze wrapped around his face and left hand, a dark Under Armour boonie hat, and a dark trench coat with dark clothing underneath.

At approximately 6:54 p.m., the suspect walked up to a teller at the Wells Fargo located inside Smith’s supermarket, 3701 Constitution Ave. NE.

He presented a demand note, but received no money.

The suspect was last seen on a bicycle leaving the scene.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
