The Aurora Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating a bank robbery.

Aurora, Colorado

Feb. 24, 2017, 5:00 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8"-5’11" tall, with a heavy build, wearing a tan long sleeve shirt, khaki pants, light-colored hat, and a mustache/goatee.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
