FBI Media Alert: FBI, Navajo Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting

The FBI and the Navajo Police Department are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred near Tohatchi (New Mexico) High School on the Navajo Nation on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019.

Nobody was injured.

Police officers had received a telephone call from someone who threatened to go to the school and harm himself.

A safety perimeter was set up in front of the school.

An officer shot at a vehicle that allegedly crossed the perimeter.

The driver was not injured.

No other information can be released at this time because this is an ongoing investigation.
