FBI Richmond Central Virginia Violent Crimes Task Force Seeks Suspect in Armed Commercial Robberies
David W. Archey, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Richmond Division, announces a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for two armed robberies that occurred in Chesterfield and Richmond, Virginia, on September 18 and Oct. 11, 2019, respectively.
The FBI Richmond Division’s Central Virginia Violent Crimes Task is investigating the armed robbery of the RVA Wireless Store located in the 10000 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield on Sept. 18, 2019. During this robbery, the armed suspect approached the victim clerk and demanded money. The suspect then jumped the counter and forced the clerk to the rear of the store before leaving. Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for the armed robbery that occurred at the College Mart in the 1500 block of Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond on October 11. Again the armed suspect approached the victim clerk and demanded money, but when the clerk was unable to open the register, the suspect discharged the firearm and forcibly removed the entire cash register.
The unknown suspect is described as a black male, medium complexion, 30 years of age and 5’8" tall. He wore in both robberies jeans and a black NASA hooded sweatshirt with blue sleeves. In the College Mart robbery, the suspect also wore bright red shoes.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
