SALIDA, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management’s Royal George Field Office will be hosting a public meeting to review community perspectives on Browns Canyon National Monument. The meeting will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Salida SteamPlant (Ballroom), 220 W Sackett Avenue.

“As we move forward with developing a management plan for Browns Canyon, the input you provide will help us garner a better understanding of the monument as part of the larger landscape in this area" said Royal Gorge Field Manager, Keith Burger.

The meeting is open to the public, will include a presentation by social science researchers, and provide maps and information for review. The public will be asked questions related to an independent study of public views and values of the Monument, and to participate in a group discussion for feedback and comments.
