Explore the past, present and future of public lands at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, during the free interpretive program, “Celebrate Your Public Lands!"
“We are fortunate in Wyoming to have access to the finest variety and extent of undeveloped public lands in all of America," said Reid Miller, NHTIC visitor information specialist. “We will look at examples of the history of land management in other nations to better appreciate our public lands- a magnificent gift from our nation's founders."
The NHTIC presents afternoon programs on pioneer, Wyoming and solar eclipse history on weekends during the summer. These short interpretive programs, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes, are free and open to the public.

The NHTIC is a part of the BLM’s National Landscape Conservation System (NLCS.) The areas of the NLCS are specifically designed to conserve, protect and restore the exceptional scientific, natural, cultural, ecological, historical, and recreation values of these treasured landscapes.
The NHTIC is a public-private partnership between the BLM and the National Historic Trails Center Foundation. The facility is located at 1501 N. Poplar Street, Casper, Wyoming.
